A beverage shelf tag should help a shopper match the price and description to the exact product in front of them. Ambiguous pack units are one of the easiest problems to prevent.
Make the selling unit explicit
State whether the displayed price covers one can, a four-pack, or another unit. Include the full flavor name and container size when similar variants share a shelf.
If you show a cannabinoid amount, copy the exact name, unit, and serving basis. “THC per serving” and “THC per can” are different statements unless the container holds one serving.
Use a consistent tag structure
- Brand and flavor.
- Format and container size.
- Selling unit.
- Current price for that unit.
- Clearly labeled product details you choose to include.
Keep the original package label available for ingredients, directions, and other information. A shelf tag is a summary, not a replacement. Check applicable labeling and retail requirements separately.
Review tags when stock, prices, or packaging changes. Remove outdated tags from empty positions so customers are not directed toward the wrong product.
Use label guides and verify unclear product information before printing.
